Yes. Since June 10, 2025, paperback and hardcover royalties are tiered: 60% at $9.99+ and 50% at $9.98 or below. Expanded distribution remains a flat 40%.

Why doesn't paper color change the print cost?

KDP charges the same per-page rate for white and cream paper. Trim size and interior color (B&W / standard color / premium color) are what move the cost.

Does this include marketplaces outside the US?

No - these constants are the US rates. Other marketplaces use different currencies, print costs, and tiers. We will add per-marketplace toggles soon.

What's the minimum royalty?

KDP rejects books whose royalty calculates below zero. If you see a red warning here, your list price is too low for the page count or interior.
